ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A PALM BEACH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CONTRACT FOR THE FIELD OF DREAMS PARK RENOVATION PROJECT

EXPLANATION: The scope of work for this project includes preparing the site for synthetic playground grass installation and to furnish, deliver, and install new playground equipment. The Public Works Department will be providing the demolition of the existing deteriorated playground equipment, surfacing and removal of any trees located in the area.
On November 23, 2022, Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners awarded a contract for RPQ#21-056/LP to multiple companies to provide various equipment and amenities for parks and playgrounds through November 22, 2026. This contract provides a percentage discount off manufacturer retail prices.
Staff recommends utilizing a Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners contract #21056, as a basis for pricing, with Rep Services, Inc. to furnish, deliver and install park equipment for the renovation of Field of Dreams Park in the amount of $312,755.67.
This contract provides the best overall value to the Village and allows the Village to remain consistent with playground type and surfacing throughout all neighborhoods.
This project will be partially funded by a Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FDDAP) grant in the amount of $50,000.
