EXPLANATION: On December 5, 2023, council approved staff to continue utilizing ITB #202103 with C.A.P. Government, Inc. for planning, zoning and building inspection services for up to $115,000.00 on an annual basis. The term of the contract runs through January 11, 2025.
The building department’s outside service operation expenditures have increased due to the retirement of two inspectors and one plans examiner. Therefore, in order to continue the same level of service, while new personnel are being hired and trained, C.A.P. Government Inc. is being utilized to fill the staffing gap shortage.
Staff recommends amending the annual approved contracted amount with C.A.P. Government Inc., for planning, zoning and building inspection services adding $228,940.00.
Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, the change order threshold for this procurement requires Council approval.
