ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO CONTINUE UTILIZING A CONSULTANT TO PROVIDE GIS SUPPORT, DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION

EXPLANATION: The Village utilizes Flipside Geographics, LLC DBA Flipsidegeo to provide additional GIS support as needed. The scope of the work includes but is not limited to steady Village-wide growth of GIS to meet departmental needs.
Flipside Geographics, LLC DBA Flipsidegeo has extensive knowledge of the Village’s GIS system, working directly with staff. Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, services involving special skill, ability, training or expertise are exempt from competition However, since expenditures are expected to be approximately $80,000 annually, Council approval is required.
Staff recommends to continue utilizing Flipside Geographics, LLC DBA Flipsidegeo through September 30, 2025 with no price increase to provide additional GIS support, development and integration, at an annual cost of approximately $80,000 for Fiscal Year 2025.
