ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF MOSQUITO CHEMICALS

EXPLANATION: The Public Works department utilizes chemicals to provide mosquito control services throughout the Village.
On October 24, 2019, Wellington released Bid #202004 for the purchase and delivery of mosquito chemicals. On November 13, 2019, the Village received two (2) proposals meeting the required specifications. The initial term of the contract is for two (2) years with a provision for two (2) additional one (1) year renewals.
Staff recommends awarding contracts to both bidders, (Adapco, LLC and Clarke Mosquito Control Products, Inc.) as shown on Exhibit A, in the amount of approximately $70,000 annually.
Prior year expenditures were $64,250.00.
