EXPLANATION: Wellington's Information Technology Department is requesting to renew its current cybersecurity services through a new Sourcewell contract (121923-CDW) with CDW-G. The current contract (081419-CDW) is nearing its expiration. The agreement provides a comprehensive suite of tools such as Falcon Endpoint Protection, Overwatch managed threat detection, Threat Graph analytics, Device Control, and Intelligence and Spotlight applications, ensuring robust endpoint security and threat visibility across the organization. This investment maintains critical defense capabilities against cyber threats while supporting compliance, asset discovery, and 24/7 monitoring, with continued service provided through CDW-G.
On March 19, 2024, Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota local government agency and service cooperative, awarded Contract #121923-CDW to CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G) to provide various types of hardware, software, peripherals, professional services, cloud infrastructure, and technology solutions & accessories. CDW-G is a global, multi-brand, provider of Public Sector Information Technology solutions. The contract is due to expire on February 27, 2028 and includes three (3) additional one (1) year renewal periods.
Staff recommends utilizing Sourcewell Contract #121923-CDW with CDW Government, Inc. (CDW-G), as a basis for pricing for the purchase of cybersecurity services, in the amount of $52,168.00.
