EXPLANATION:                     Staff is seeking authorization to:

 

1)  Purchase goods and services utilizing various vendors for the Village Park Entrance Project at a cost of approximately $826,059.52, which includes an owner-controlled contingency of $160,000. The Village Park Entrance on Pierson Road will be modified to include a roundabout to improve safety and traffic flow.

Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, the purchase of goods and services above are allowable based on the procurement process noted. However, since the total expenditures exceed $50,000, Council approval is required.

 

2)  Approve Resolution No. R2026-30 amending the gas tax capital fund budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 by transferring monies from the governmental capital fund sports academy project to the Village Park Pierson Entrance Improvement Project in the amount of $123,000.
