ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A SOURCEWELL CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON GYM INSULATION REPLACEMENT

EXPLANATION: The Village’s Public Works Department has identified the need to replace the existing insulation at the Village Park Gym. The existing insulation has exceeded its expected service life, exhibits visible deterioration and no longer meets the functional needs of the facility.
On December 17, 2024, Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota local government agency and service cooperative, awarded Contract No. FL-R6-GC-092524-DAN to Dan Enterprises Team, LLC for projects related to construction or the repair, alteration, modernization, or renovation of buildings, structures or other real property. Utilizing this competitively solicited contract allows the Village to secure services in an efficient and cost-effective manner, eliminating the need for a separate formal bid process. The Gordian Group, Inc. is Sourcewell’s indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity construction contracting program (currently referred to as EZIQC) Contract Administrator.
Under EZIQC Work Order No. 155024.00, Dan Enterprises Team LLC, will provide all labor, materials, equipment , supervision, and related services necessary to complete the Village Park Gym Insulation Replacement, including:
• Removal of existing deteriorated gymnasium ceiling insulation
• Installation of a new insulation system
• Contractor will include access equipment, floor protection, demolition, debris handling, disposal, support systems, and all incidentals specifically related to the insulation scope.
Staff requests authorization to utilize Sourcewell Contract No. FL-R6-GC-092524-DAN, awarded to Dan Enterprises Team, LLC., for the Village of Wellington Gym Insulation Replacement Project, in the amount of $124,460.47.
