EXPLANATION: The Public Works department engaged Atlantic & Caribbean Roof Consulting, LLC (ACRC) to conduct roof inspections at four Village pump stations to assess condition and remaining service life. The August 2024 inspection reports determined that all four roof systems are at or near their end-of-life expectancy and require replacement to maintain reliable operation and protect the Village’s infrastructure investment.
The inspection identified deficiencies including extensive weathering and end-of-life indicators on flat roof systems at Pump Stations #3 and #4, and severe granular loss, delamination, and exposed rusting nails on the dimensional shingle roofs at Pump Stations #6 and #8.
Based on these findings, Public Works obtained multiple quotes for the removal and replacement of the roofs at Pump Station #3 (Forest Hill Blvd and Southern Blvd. Gate), Pump Station #4 (Southern Blvd. and Ousley Farms Gate), Pump Station #6 (Entrance at 11143 Acme Road), and Pump Station #8 (Pierson Road & Ousley Farms Gate).
