ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW AN EXISTING CONTRACT FOR ANNUAL ASPHALT MILLING, RESURFACING AND SEALCOATING VILLAGE-WIDE

EXPLANATION: On October 10, 2023, Council awarded ITB #202328 Annual Asphalt Milling, Resurfacing and Sealcoating Village-Wide to Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. to provide such services. The Village would like to exercise the second renewal option through October 9, 2026. Ranger Construction is requesting a 4.8% price increase for seven (7) of the sixteen (16) contract items. The remaining nine (9) items will not have a price increase. This requested increase is for a two-year period and is lower than the Consumer Price Index (CPI) indicators for that same timeframe.
The Public Works Department’s Road resurfacing projects for Fiscal Year 2026 are estimated to cost $2,225,000. The proposed projects will repave roads in several neighborhoods throughout Wellington, specific project details are provided below.
