EXPLANATION: On March 12, 2024 Council approved a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) amendment with Wharton Smith, Inc. for construction of the aquatics facility. The new aquatics facility will be built on the site of the existing Public Works Storage Yard. The Public Works Storage Yard will be relocated to the Greenbriar Park site.
Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, the purchase of goods and services below are allowable based on the procurement process noted. However, since the total expenditures for the project exceed $50,000, Council approval is required. The Public Works and Engineering Departments will act as the General Contractor on this project, thus saving the Village approximately $17,000 in sales tax plus contractor overhead/profit/markup.
