EXPLANATION: On January 12, 2016, Council awarded an engineering services contract (011-15/ED) to multiple vendors. As part of the solicitation, Mock, Roos and Associates, Inc. was selected as one of Wellington’s engineering service providers. Staff is seeking authorization to utilize such contract with Mock, Roos and Associates, Inc. to provide engineering consulting services for the C-11 and C-15 canal culvert crossings and bridle trail (Brown Trail) improvements project during construction.
The Village plans to move forward with construction of the C-11 and C-15 canal culvert crossings and bridle trail project. Mock Roos will perform construction administration and inspection services during the construction phase of this project.
The project scope includes attending construction meetings, shop drawing/submittal review, providing field inspections and performing project management services during construction.
Staff recommends awarding a task order to Mock, Roos and Associates, Inc. to provide engineering consulting services for the C-11 and C-15 Canal Culvert Crossings and Bridle Trail Improvements project at a cost of $39,304.00.
This project is partially funded with $200,000 in grant funds awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Recreational Trails Program.
