REQUEST:                     Authorization to utilize a Southeast Florida Cooperative contract (ITB 25-017), with multiple vendors, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of water meter fittings and water line accessories, in the amount of approximately $185,000 annually.

EXPLANATION:                     On March 17, 2025 the City of Deerfield Beach released ITB 25-017, Water Meter Fitting, Water Line Accessories, and Fire Hydrant Accessories, seeking qualified and experienced vendors to submit bids to provide water meter fittings and water line accessories for use in water utility operations.  The bid was awarded on June 6, 2025 to three (3) vendors.  The initial term of the contract is three (3) years effective June 6, 2025 through June 5, 2028 with two (2) potential one-year renewals.  The awarded vendors are listed below:

 

•                     Consolidated Pipe

•                     Ferguson Enterprises, Inc.

•                     Fortiline, Inc.

 

This contract provides for the supply of small diameter service piping and fittings used for the installation, repair, and replacement of water services. Multiple vendors are included as part of the contract, allowing for flexibility and access to materials.

 

All contracts were awarded as a percentage off the vendor’s published catalog price. Vendors providing the best overall price, for the items required, will be selected for award preference. A total of eighteen (18) municipalities across South Florida currently utilize pricing under this contract.

 

Staff recommends utilizing Southeast Florida Cooperative contract ITB 25-017 with multiple vendors, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of water meter fittings and water line accessories, in the amount of approximately $185,000 annually.
