ITEM:  AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW EXISTING CONTRACTS FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF LANDSCAPE MATERIALS 

 

REQUEST:  Authorization to renew existing contracts for supply, delivery and installation of native plants, aquatic plants, trees, shrubs and groundcover for various locations, Village-wide on an as-needed basis in the amount of approximately $45,000 annually.

EXPLANATION:  Throughout the year, the purchase of flowers, trees, shrubs and groundcover is necessary for Wellington to refurbish and maintain landscape areas Village-wide.

 

On January 28, 2014, Council awarded ITB #042-13/JWV to various vendors to provide these goods and services. The initial term of the contract was for two (2) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year renewal options. Council approved the first renewal option on January 12, 2016, which will expire on January 28, 2017. Staff is requesting authorization to exercise the second and final renewal option through January 28, 2018, with no price increases proposed by any of the four (4) suppliers.
