ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF TWO DIESEL GENERATORS
REQUEST: Authorization to award a contract to Dan Enterprises Team, LLC. for the purchase and delivery of two diesel generators in the amount of $203,547.42.

EXPLANATION: The scope of this project is to provide and conduct acceptance testing of two (2) permanent standby electric generating systems at Utility sewer lift stations #16 and #65.
These generators will be purchased as part of the Lift Station Rehabilitation Project. The project includes installing permanent generators on power critical high flow lift stations to ensure system reliability during power losses. Wellington expects to bid the installation portion of the project in early 2024. The purchase of the generators will be fully funded by a $537,232.50 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program grant between the Village of Wellington and the Florida Division of Emergency Management (Agreement H0948).
On, May 1, 2023, Wellington released ITB #202325 (RE-BID) Supply and Delivery of Two Diesel Generators, seeking qualified firms to provide such services. The solicitation was advertised in the Palm Beach Post, the Village’s website, and on DemandStar.com. On June 22, 2023, five (5) proposals were received, as summarized below:

American Generator Services, LLC., was deemed non-responsive for not providing the required documentation in their proposal, and PERO Engineering and Sales Company, Inc., was deemed non-responsible for failure to bid the required specifications.
