EXPLANATION: On June 10, 2025, the Village Council authorized a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Amendment with Burkhardt Construction, Inc. for the Wellington Tennis Center Expansion Project, for the installation of six additional tennis courts and related facilities at the Wellington Tennis Center located at 3100 Lyons Road. This project is currently under construction.
On October 8, 2024, Council awarded a Professional Consulting Services contract (RFQ 202414) to multiple vendors. As part of this solicitation, Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. was selected as one of Wellington’s engineering service providers. Staff is seeking authorization to utilize this contract with Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. to provide professional limited engineering during construction services, commonly referred to as Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI).
Staff has identified the need to engage the services of the engineer of Record, Mock Roos, to provide CEI (Construction Engineering Services) relating to project works. Their scope of services includes CEI services relating to shop drawing review, field observations and reports, conducting substantial and final completion walk-throughs, preparing punch lists, responding to RFIs, preparing additional design revisions as requested, and providing electrical engineering support. The total fixed fee for these services is $61,900.
Staff recommends awarding a task order to Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. to provide construction engineering and inspection (CEI) and minor design services during construction for the Wellington Tennis Center Expansion Project, in the amount of $61,900.00.
