ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A SOURCEWELL CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE OLYMPIA PARK ROOFING PROJECT

EXPLANATION: The Village’s Public Works Department has identified the need to replace the existing roofing systems on four buildings at Olympia Park, located at 9840 Stribling Way. The existing asphalt shingle roofing system has exceeded its expected service life, exhibits visible deterioration, and no longer meets the functional needs of the facility.
On December 12, 2024, Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota local government agency and service cooperative, awarded Contract No. FL-R6-GC-092524-DAN to Dan Enterprises Team, LLC for projects related to the construction, repair, alteration, modernization, or renovation of buildings, structures, or other real property. The initial term of the contract is two years, expiring December 10, 2026, with the option to extend for up to three additional one-year terms through December 10, 2029.
Utilizing this competitively solicited contract allows the Village to secure services in an efficient and cost-effective manner, eliminating the need for a separate formal bid process. The Gordian Group, Inc. is Sourcewell’s indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity construction contracting program (currently referred to as EZIQC) Contract Administrator.
Under EZIQC Work Order No. 155025.00, Dan Enterprises Team, LLC will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and related services necessary to complete the Olympia Park Roofing Project, including:
• Removal of existing asphalt shingle roofing systems
• Installation of a new standing seam metal roofing systems, including permit package preparation, dumpsters, hauling and disposal of roofing debris, selective roof deck repair, self-adhered roofing underlayment, complete standing seam metal roofing system, and all incidentals specifically related to the roofing scope
The project covers approximately 10,300 square feet of roofing across multiple park structures. The new standing seam metal roofing system is designed to meet Florida Building Code requirements, including 140 MPH wind load resistance.
