EXPLANATION:                     The Village is currently in the process of upgrading WiFi access points from older Ubiquiti models (5 years old) to the latest Ruckus WiFi to significantly enhance network performance, security, reliability, and capacity. The existing Ubiquiti units, while functional, are now outdated in terms of the technology needed to support the growing number of devices and the increasing demand for faster, more stable connections. Ruckus access points offer superior Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) capabilities, which means better speed, capacity, and efficiency, especially in high-density environments. The Ruckus WiFi also provides advanced features like beamforming, better interference mitigation, and improved security options, which are crucial as more connected devices join the network. Ruckus’ SmartZone technology ensures seamless management and optimization, reducing downtime and troubleshooting efforts. This upgrade will future-proof the Village’s wireless infrastructure, ensuring a more robust network experience for citizens and supporting modern application demands.
