ITEM:                     AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE GOODS AND SERVICES FROM VARIOUS VENDORS FOR THE COMMUNITY CENTER RENOVATION AND UPGRADES PROJECT  

 

REQUEST:                     Authorization to purchase goods and services, from various vendors, for the Community Center renovations and upgrades project in the amount of $128,900.01.

EXPLANATION:                     The Information Technologies and Public Works Departments seek authorization to purchase goods and services for renovations and upgrades to the Lakeview and Grand Ballroom located inside the Wellington Community Center.

 

The scope of the project includes complete IT/AV upgrades in the Lakeview Room, and both IT/AV upgrades as well as renovations in the Grand Ballroom. Renovations include, paint, wainscoting, flooring, ceiling and door replacements.

 

If approved, all of the work will be completed between August 5, 2026 and August 26, 2026.

 

Quotes were solicited from qualified vendors in accordance with the Village Purchasing Manual and are summarized below:

Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, the purchase of goods and services are allowable based on the procurement process noted. However, since the total expenditures for the project exceed $50,000, Council approval is required.

 

Staff recommends purchasing goods and services from various vendors for the Community Center renovations and upgrades in the amount of $128,900.01.
