REQUEST:                     Approval of Resolution No. R2026-08 to allow a maximum building height of 86 feet for Building H (Hotel), 42 feet for Buildings D1 and D2 (Mixed Use), and 47 feet for Building G4 (Restaurant) within Pod B of Wellington Village MUPD.

EXPLANATION:                     The applicant is requesting a Conditional Use approval to allow a maximum building height of 86 feet for Building H (Hotel), 42 feet for Buildings D1 and D2 (Mixed Use), and 47 feet for Building G4 (Restaurant) within Pod B of Wellington Village MUPD.

 

At the February 18, 2026 Planning, Zoning and Adjustment Board meeting, the Board unanimously (7-0) recommended approval of Resolution No. R2026-08.

 

At the February 25, 2026 Architectural Review Board meeting, the Board unanimously (5-0) recommended approval of Resolution No. R2026-08 with architectural recommendations to modify the design so that it is more compatible with a suburban-rural environment, as the current design is very urban, stark, and lacks character and charm.

Findings of Fact are provided in the Staff Report supporting approval of the Conditional Use request, based on the conditions of approval in Resolution No. R2026-08.
