REQUEST: Authorization to 1) Utilize a Palm Beach County contract with Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Co., LLC, as a basis for pricing, for crosswalk improvements on Binks Forest Drive and Bent Creek Road, in the amount of $88,745.00 and 2) Issue a purchase order to Palm Beach County Traffic Division for various traffic signal enhancements on Binks Forest Drive and Bent Creek Road in the amount of $78,410.20.

EXPLANATION: Staff is seeking authorization to:
1) Utilize the Palm Beach County Pathway and Minor Continuing Services Construction Contract (Project No. 2025055), awarded to Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Co, LLC. in the amount of $88,745.00. Palm Beach County executed this contract on March 10, 2026 (R2026-0294), and it expires on September 9, 2027. The contract provides competitively bid unit pricing for the crosswalk improvement project.
2) Issue purchase orders to Palm Beach County Traffic Division for various traffic signal enhancements on Binks Forest Drive and Bent Creek Road. Palm Beach County manages and operates the traffic signals within the Village of Wellington. Pursuant to the Village’s Purchasing Manual, services provided by other governmental entities (i.e. Federal, State, County, or non-profit organizations as permitted by F.S., 255.60) are exempt from competition. However, due to the amount, Council approval is required.
The project will enhance the pedestrian crossing at this location. The combined total of these enhancements is $167,155.20.
