EXPLANATION: Wellington utilizes a deep injection well at its water reclamation facility for the disposal of the waste stream generated by the low pressure. The deep injection well is permitted by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Pursuant to the FDEP permit, mechanical integrity testing (IT) of the deep injection well must be conducted every five (5) years to ensure the well is functioning properly.
On September 18, 2025, Wellington released ITB 202524, seeking qualified firms to provide such services. On October 21, 2025, four (4) proposals were received as summarized below:

Construction phase services for this project will be performed by JLA Geosciences, Inc. This scope of work was included in a previously approved proposal from JLA Geosciences, Inc. for $32,614.00. This proposal also includes bid documents development and coordination with the FDEP for approval of the plan.
