EXPLANATION: Staff is seeking Authorization to:
1) Award a Contract to FSV Construction Company, for the Truck Canopy Rehabilitation Project, in the amount of approximately $186,945.00, which includes a bid amount of $169,950.00 and an owner-controlled contingency of $16,995,00.
On April 12, 2024, the Village released ITB 202410 Truck Canopy Rehabilitation Project, seeking qualified firms to provide such services. Work to be performed under this Contract includes the rehabilitation of a pre-existing truck canopy structure at the Village of Wellington Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The Truck Canopy is a steel building where the biosolids hauling trailers are temporarily stored. The rehabilitation will include a new roof, structural repairs to the existing steel frame, and new coatings. The structure is approximately thirty (30) years old and in need of rehabilitation. Construction is anticipated to last four (4) months.
The solicitation was advertised in the Palm Beach Post, the Village's website, and on DemandStar.com. On May 14, 2024, one (1) proposal was received.
