ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT FOR THE TENNIS CENTER CONCRETE AND ASPHALT REPAIRS PROJECT

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department is seeking authorization to utilize an existing Palm Beach County contract with Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Company, Inc. to make repairs to the concrete sidewalk sections at the Tennis Center due to root intrusion. The asphalt will be removed near the curbed islands in the parking lot that are damaged due to same issues and replaced with new compact asphalt. Palm Beach County executed their contract (Project #2022063) on March 14, 2023 and it expires September 13, 2024.
Staff is requesting authorization to utilize Palm Beach County with Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Company, Inc., as the basis for pricing, for the Tennis Center concrete and asphalt repairs project at a cost of $76,090.
