EXPLANATION: Pursuant to RFQ# 202010, on May 12, 2020, the Village Council awarded a continuing Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract to Burkhardt Construction, Inc.
Staff is seeing authorization to execute a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Amendment for the Wellington Tennis Center Expansion Project in the amount of $2,050,000. The scope of work includes the addition of three (3) hard tennis courts, three (3) clay tennis courts, a 19' X 9' shade canopy and additional lighting.
This expansion is being proposed in response to increased demand and growing community interest in tennis programming and court availability.
The cost of the project is $2,050,000 which includes an owner-controlled contingency in the amount of $134,116.30.
Staff recommends executing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) Amendment in the amount of $2,050,00 and 2) Approving Resolution R2025-43 amending the fiscal year 2024-2025 Recreation Impact Capital Fund Budget and Assigning Recreation Impact Reserves for the Tennis Center Expansion Project.
