A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL REPEALING AND REPLACING RESOLUTION NO. R2022-11 RELATING TO MEETING DATES AND SCHEDULES OF VARIOUS BOARDS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

REQUEST:                     Approval of Resolution No. R2026-56 revising the meeting requirements and schedules for Wellington’s boards and committees.

EXPLANATION:                     Resolution No. R2026-56 repeals and replaces Resolution No. R2022-11 to reduce the minimum meeting frequency for Wellington’s boards and committees from quarterly to annually. This change provides greater scheduling flexibility when there is no pending business while requiring each board and committee to meet at least annually to review and carry out its assigned responsibilities.

The resolution also provides for additional meetings as needed to consider pending matters on the designated meeting days. Boards and committees receiving a specific Council assignment must meet as frequently as necessary to provide their recommendations within the timeframe established by Council.
