REQUEST:                     Presentation and discussion of the Code Compliance process.

EXPLANATION:                     Code Compliance’s mission is to provide accurate, fair, effective, and expeditious code enforcement. Code compliance pursues quality property and development standards while protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all residents through enforcement of Wellington codes and ordinances and property maintenance standards. The presentation will provide an overview of the Code Compliance process. The top 10 violations in 2025 were:

 

1.                     Driveway and/or sidewalk stained or discolored

2.                     Garage containers left out or improperly screened

3.                     Property maintenance: roof, walls, appurtenances, stained or discolored

4.                     Landscaping maintenance or missing material

5.                     Trees removed without a permit

6.                     Parking in streets, swales, or landscape areas

7.                     Business tax receipt expired or was not obtained

8.                     Commercial vehicle parking

9.                     Missing or inadequate mechanical equipment screening
