REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2015-01 Special Use Permit for the St. Rita Catholic Church Parish Festival for events utilizing outdoor amplified music to be held at 13645 Paddock Drive.

EXPLANATION: St. Rita Catholic Church, located at 13645 Paddock Drive, will be hosting a four day Parish festival from March 5 to March 8, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on March 5th, and 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm for the remaining days. The St. Rita Catholic Church is located within the Wellington PUD. Based on Article 5: Development Review Procedures, Chapter 5, Special Permit Uses of the Wellington Land Development Regulations adopted on February 14, 2012, Special Use Permits with outdoor amplified music require Council approval (an excerpt from Chapter 5 is attached with this item).

The event is an outdoor event, featuring music with amplification, learning events, food and alcohol. The Applicant anticipates approximately 200 guests in attendance each of the days. All activities will be located in front of the Parish Center. Attached is the application and event layout date stamped September 30, 2014. Staff, including Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and Public Works, has reviewed the application and recommends approval.
