ITEM: RESOLUTION NO. R2025-54 (WELLINGTON SENIORS CLUB AGREEMENT)
A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA'S COUNCIL APPROVING A CONTRACT FOR SENIOR CITIZEN SERVICES BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND THE WELLINGTON SENIORS CLUB INC.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of the Annual Agreement between Wellington and the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. for FY 2025 through FY 2026.

EXPLANATION: Wellington has maintained an agreement with the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. (WSC) for the past twenty (20) years, providing senior citizen services within Wellington. In exchange for providing both meeting space and funding assistance, the WSC provides monthly meetings, newsletters, social/recreational programming, and special events for Wellington seniors.
The Agreement provides for:
* A two-year term from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2026.
* Payment not to exceed $56,200.00 annually to the Wellington Seniors Club, Inc. (at such time as existing Club fund balances drop below $50,000.00).
* Monthly programs including bridge, duplicate bridge, canasta, mahjong, and quilting.
* Monthly newsletter published and distributed at least ten (10) months per year
* Sponsor and provide nine (9) to thirteen (13) "Steppin Out" Programs and bus trips
* Hold an installation/holiday dinner in December, a Spring event in April, and a volunteer recognition luncheon in June.
* Provide Quarterly financial reports as follows:
o Quarter Ending 12/31 due no later than 1/31
o Quarter Ending 3/31 due no later than 4/30
o Quarter Ending 6/30 due no later than 7/31
o Quarter Ending 9/30 due no later than 10/31
* Access to books and records and board meetings.
* Permission for a representative of Wellington to attend all Board meetings, with the exception of attorney-client sessions.
