EXPLANATION: On December 18, 2012, the Village of Wellington entered into a contract with LV Superior Landscaping, Inc. to provide the landscape maintenance for lift stations and well sites. On August 26, 2013, Wellington issued a Notice of Termination for Cause to LV Superior Landscaping, Inc., due to the firm's failure to meet the requirements set forth in the agreement.
On April 27, 2014, Wellington released ITB #016-14/DZ on Demandstar for landscape maintenance services for 103 lift stations and 18 well sites. The solicitation was also advertised in the Palm Beach Post and posted on Wellington's website. On May 13, 2014, two (2) proposals were received.
