ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO 1) UTILIZE A PALM BEACH COUNTY CONTRACT FOR GREENVIEW SHORES BLVD SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS AND 2) ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL LOOP REPLACEMENTS
REQUEST: Authorization to 1) Utilize a Palm Beach County contract with Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Co., LLC, as a basis for pricing, for the sidewalk improvements on Greenview Shores Blvd. in the amount of $99,501.90 and 2) Issue purchase orders to Palm Beach County Traffic Division for various traffic signal loop replacements on Wellington Trace and Greenview Shores Blvd in the amount of $292,051.20.

EXPLANATION: Staff is seeking authorization to:
1) Utilize the Palm Beach County Pathway and Minor Continuing Services Construction Contract (Project No. 2025055), awarded to Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Co., LLC. in the amount of $99,501.90. Palm Beach County executed this contract on March 10, 2026 (R2026-0294), and it expires on September 9, 2027. The contract provides competitively bid unit pricing for sidewalk improvements.
2) Issue purchase orders to Palm Beach County Traffic Division for various traffic signal loop replacements on Wellington Trace and Greenview Shores Blvd. Palm Beach County manages and operates the traffic signals within the Village of Wellington. Pursuant to the Village's Purchasing Manual, services provided by other governmental entities (i.e. Federal State, County, or non-profit organizations as permitted by F.S., 255.60) are exempt from competition. However, due to the amount, Council approval is required.
The combined total of these improvements is $391,553.10.
