ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW AN EXISTING CONTRACT FOR ANNUAL ASPHALT MILLING, RESURFACING AND SEALCOATING VILLAGE-WIDE
REQUEST: Authorization to Renew an existing contract for Annual Asphalt Milling, Resurfacing and Sealcoating Village-Wide with Ranger Construction Industries Inc in the amount of approximately $1,943,827 for FY 2027.

EXPLANATION: On October 10, 2023, Council awarded ITB #202328 Annual Asphalt Milling, Resurfacing and Sealcoating Village-Wide to Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. to provide such services. The Village would like to exercise the third and final renewal option through October 9, 2027. Ranger Construction is requesting price increases averaging 3.57% for all of the sixteen (16) contract items. The range of increases are from 3.09% to 4.44%. These increases are lower than the Consumer Price Index (CPI) indicators for fuels and related products including asphalt from June 2025 to June 2026. The fiscal impact of this increase for the FY 2027 projects is approximately $70,000.
The Public Works Department’s road resurfacing projects for Fiscal Year 2027 are estimated to cost $1,943,827. This budget will fund the repaving of roads in several neighborhoods throughout Wellington, specific project details are provided below.
