A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING THE QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE VILLAGE OF WELLINGTON TO ACME IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR TRACT C OF OAKMONT ESTATES PUD (THE CIVIC SITE ADJACENT TO K-PARK); AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.   

 

REQUEST:                     Approval of a Quit Claim Deed for Tract C of Oakmont Estates PUD (the Civic Site adjacent to K-Park) from the Village of Wellington to the Acme Improvement District.

EXPLANATION:                     Tract C of the Oakmont Estates PUD was conveyed by plat in fee simple to the Village of Wellington for park, recreation, and civic purposes.  The property is directly adjacent to K-Park, which is owned by the Acme Improvement District.  The contemplated sale of Wellington’s K-Park property will also include Tract C.  To simplify the transaction, it is beneficial for Wellington to convey this parcel to Acme so that title to the full site is vested in only one entity.
