EXPLANATION: On December 18, 2017, the Village released RFQ# 025-17/ED seeking qualified firms interested in providing engineering and architectural services for Greenbriar Park and South Shore Park.
The selection committee for the above referenced RFQ selected Kimley Horn and Associates as the highest ranked proposer and ultimately recommended negotiations with the firm.
On February 13, 2018, the Village Council authorized staff to negotiate a contract with Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc., to provide engineering and architectural services for Greenbriar Park and South Shore Park.
While the overall scope of services necessary for these projects include planning, design, bidding, and construction administration services, the scope of this authorization only includes conceptual planning and programming as well as outside services for geotechnical engineering and boundary/topographic surveying. We have negotiated the terms and pricing of an agreement (see attached), in the amount of $159,900.
Scope and fee for subsequent task orders for design phase, bid phase, and construction phase services will be presented to Council for consideration and approval as we approach the specific phase of the project.
Staff recommends awarding a contract to Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc., in the amount of $159,900, to provide engineering and architectural services for Greenbriar Park and South Shore Park.
