ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO RENEW EXISTING ANNUAL PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS TO MULTIPLE VENDORS
REQUEST: Authorization to renew annual Public Works contracts to multiple vendors.

EXPLANATION: The Public Works, Utilities and Engineering Departments utilize annual contracts for planned capital maintenance projects such as canal clearing, installation of drainage pipe and structures, swale reconstruction and roadway and pathway base installation, as well as unscheduled emergency repair and maintenance projects.
On January 12, 2021, Council awarded ITB #202101 to multiple vendors to provide such services. These contracts are set to expire on January 11, 2025. Staff is seeking authorization to exercise the second renewal option, through January 11, 2026 with six (6) of the current seven (7) awardees listed below with no price increases. One of the firms chose not to renew.
Staff is seeking authorization to renew with the following six (6) firms:
• D.S. Eakins Construction Corporation
• Ferreira Construction Company, Inc.
• Foster Marine Contractors, Inc.
• Hinterland Group, Inc.
• Marcinkoski Gradall, Inc.
• Murray Logan Construction, LLC.
Projects scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 were previously presented and approved by Council during the October 8, 2024 meeting, noting the upcoming January 11, 2025 expiration date.
Staff reviewed all the renewals received and have recommended the renewal of the annual Public Works contracts to six (6) of the seven (7) current awardees.
