REQUEST:                     Authorization to utilize the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) contract, as a basis for pricing for the purchase and delivery of tires and related services, in the amount of approximately $85,000 annually.

EXPLANATION:                     The Public Works Department utilizes an FSA contract, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of tires and related services.

 

On January 15, 2025, FSA released contract #FSA25-TRS27.0, seeking qualified manufacturers to provide pricing on tires and related services. FSA awarded contracts to multiple manufacturers effective April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2027. The initial term of the contract is two (2) years. The contract may be extended by mutual agreement, at the sole option and discretion of the FSA.

 

Staff is requesting authorization to utilize three (3) Palm Beach County vendors (Martino Tire, Callaghan Tire and Elpex Tire), utilizing the FSA contract , for the purchase of tires and related services , in the amount of approximately $85,000 annually.

 

In order to ensure the best possible price, staff will utilize the FSA item price list or solicit quotes from the three (3) local vendors, utilizing the FSA manufacturer’s pricing as a basis for award.
