ITEM:                     PRESENTATION OF THE 2026 WELLINGTON TOP COP AND TOP FIREFIGHTER AWARDS 

 

REQUEST:                     Approval of the Public Safety Committee Recommendations for the 2026 Wellington Top Cop and Top Firefighter.

EXPLANATION:                     Annually the Village Council recognizes Public Safety personnel who have been nominated as Wellington’s Top Cop and Top Firefighter.

 

The nominations for 2026 from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office included Detective Michael Barbusio, Deputy Sheriff Shea Fink, Deputy Sheriff Jordan Camilleri, Deputy Sheriff Lawrence Germuska, and Deputy Sheriff Harold Harper. 

 

Nominations from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue Battalion 2 included Captain Robert Burns, Lieutenant Jason Haythorn, and Firefighter Ryan Reddoch. 

 

These nominations were presented to the Public Safety Committee for consideration at the June 10th regular meeting, during which the Committee made its recommendations. The Committee recommended Deputy Sheriff Jordan Camilleri as Wellington’s Top Cop for 2026 and Lieutenant Jason Haythorn as Wellington’s Top Firefighter for 2026. Captain Nichole Addazio and District Chief Amanda Vomero are in attendance to present this year’s awards.
