EXPLANATION: Connie Sterling, an Administrative Assistant at Equestrian Trails Elementary School, was named the 2026 School-Related Employee of the Year by the School District of Palm Beach County.
Ms. Sterling has been with Equestrian Trails for over 22 years and has been in the district for 27 years. The recognition was announced on January 29th at the 5th Annual Celebrate the Great awards ceremony at the new Center for Public School Excellence and Innovation, where Ms. Sterling was recognized for her dedicated service to the School District, including her management of the school’s front-office operations and leadership in the school’s Homework Club. She will go on to represent the district, competing at the State level as part of the Florida Department of Education recognition programs.
