A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO EXECUTE THE LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES FOR FY 2024; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

EXPLANATION: In April 2023, correspondence was received from PBSO indicating that they were proposing a 3% increase to the existing contract with no additional staffing or change in services.
In accordance with Wellington’s Law Enforcement Services Agreement (LESA) with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff has submitted a proposal in the form of the Law Enforcement Service Agreement for FY2024 (attached). The proposal includes a proposed 3% increase for FY2024. The proposed contract total for FY2024 is $10,863,223.00, an increase of approximately $316,405.00 over FY2023.
