A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE FY 2026/2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM; AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO FORWARD THE FY 2026/2027 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

EXPLANATION: According to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Wellington qualifies as an “entitlement community” and is eligible to receive funds under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. As a CDBG recipient, Wellington is required to submit an Annual Action Plan to receive its annual allocation of CDBG funds.
The Village of Wellington will receive an FY 2026-2027 CDBG allocation of $286,335. Consistent with Wellington’s proposed FY 2026/2027 budget, the CDBG funds are budgeted as follows:

Public Services $40,000
Planning & Admin $57,266
Total FY 2025/2026 CDBG Entitlement Allocation $286,335
