REQUEST:                     Consideration of code compliance lien reduction request by the property owner from $168,689.11 to $1,000.00, for the property at 13492 Exotica Lane.

EXPLANATION:                     The property owner of 13492 Exotica Lane was cited for multiple code compliance violations. The Special Magistrate heard the case and ordered fines. The following is the history of the compliance actions, fines, and total liens.

 

 

 

Total Liens plus Costs: $168,689.11

On July 7, 2026, Jorge Ramos submitted a Fine Reduction Request seeking to reduce the total outstanding lien amount of $168,689.11 to $1,000.00.

 

A copy of the Fine Reduction Request is attached.

 

The requested fine reduction amount, based on Resolution No. R2021-50, exceeds the authority of an administrative approval. The requested reduction is greater than 80 percent of the total, the lien reduction amount is greater than $60,000, and the property is not homesteaded.
