A RESOLUTION OF WELLINGTON, FLORIDA’S COUNCIL APPROVING THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH PALM BEACH COUNTY RELATING TO PALM BEACH COUNTY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY NETWORK SERVICES; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
REQUEST: Approval of Resolution No. R2025-58 for the Palm Beach County Interlocal Agreement relating to Palm Beach County Information Technology Network Services.

EXPLANATION: Pursuant to Section 163.01, Florida Statutes, known as the “Florida Interlocal Cooperation Act of 1969”, local governments are authorized to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other localities on a basis of mutual advantage and thereby to provide services and facilities that will harmonize geographic, economic, population, and other factors influencing the needs and development of local communities. The Village of Wellington and Palm Beach County utilize this for IT network services.
Approval of Resolution No. R2025-58 approves the Interlocal Agreement and rescinds the existing Agreement, Palm Beach County Resolution No. R2020-1011.
