REQUEST:                     Authorization to utilize a City of Boca Raton contract with Power Washers Plus, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of a custom power washer unit in the amount of $67,500.

EXPLANATION:                     The Public Works Department is seeking authorization to purchase a Megabella 600-15 Pressure Washer, which includes a self-contained drive-on pressure washing system, with its own individual water tank. The power washer includes self-attached pressure cleaning tools such as a four (4) to eight (8) foot wide surface cleaner. In addition, the equipment can store up to 600 gallons of water and can cover an area of six to eight feet, in one pass. The purchase of this equipment will eliminate any down time and will provide a faster, more efficient job, than other cleaning equipment currently used by the Village.

 

On August 25, 2020, through a competitive solicitation, the City of Boca Raton awarded Bid #2020-059 for the purchase and delivery of a custom power washer contact to Power Washers Plus.

 

Staff recommends utilizing the City of Boca Raton a contract with, as basis for pricing for the purchase and delivery of a custom power washer, in the amount of $67,500.
