ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE SOURCEWELL CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE VILLAGE PARK GYM SCOREBOARD REPLACEMENT PROJECT
REQUEST: Authorization to utilize Sourcewell Contract No. 030223-NVC, awarded to Nevco Sports, LLC, for the purchase and installation of new scoreboards and related equipment at the Village Park Gym, in the amount of $71,809.88.

EXPLANATION: The Village's Public Works Department has identified the need to replace the existing scoreboards at the Village Park Gym to ensure continued operational reliability and to support the Village's recreational and athletic programming. The current scoreboards have reached the end of their useful life and no longer meet the functional needs of the facility.
On March 2, 2023, Sourcewell, a State of Minnesota local government agency and service cooperative, awarded Contract No. 030223-NVC to Nevco Sports, LLC, for scoreboards, digital displays, and related equipment. Utilizing this competitively solicited cooperative contract allows the Village to procure the required equipment and installation services in a timely and cost effective manner, while satisfying competitive procurement requirements. The contract is effective through May 25, 2027, with an optional one-year renewal.
Nevco Sports, LLC is a nationally recognized manufacturer of scoreboard and display systems. The proposed scope includes the furnishing and installation of LED scoreboards, wireless controls, scorer's table, and associated equipment, with installation services provided by an authorized subcontractor in accordance with Sourcewell Contract No. 030223-NVC.
Pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Village's Purchasing Manual, Council authorization is required for purchases exceeding $50,000, even when competitively sourced through a cooperative contract.
