EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department is seeking authorization to utilize an existing Palm Beach County contract with Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Company, Inc. to widen an existing 1,500-foot section of pathway in Section 24. The project will widen the pathway’s current 6-foot width to 10 feet. The widening of the pathway will provide Wellington maintenance crews better access to maintain the preserve. Palm Beach County executed their contract (Project #2022063) on March 14, 2023 and it expires September 13, 2026.
Staff recommends utilizing Palm Beach County contract with Wynn & Sons Environmental Construction Company, Inc., as the basis for pricing, for the Section 24 pathway widening project at a cost of $71,945.48.
