ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO UTILIZE A FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION (FSA) CONTRACT, AS A BASIS FOR PRICING, FOR THE PURCHASE AND DELIVERY OF TIRES AND RELATED SERVICES

EXPLANATION: The Public Works Department utilizes an FSA contract, as a basis for pricing, for the purchase and delivery of tires and related services.
FSA released contract FSA22-TRS24.0 seeking qualified manufactures to provide pricing on tires and related services. FSA awarded contracts to multiple manufacturers effective April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2024. The contract has been extended beginning April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.
In order to ensure the best possible price, staff will utilize the FSA item price list or solicit quotes from the three (3) local vendors, utilizing the FSA manufacturer’s pricing as a basis for award
Staff is requesting authorization to utilize three (3) vendors (Martino Commercial Tire, LLC.; Callaghan Tire and Elpex Tire), utilizing the FSA contract, for the purchase of tires and related services, in the amount of approximately $75,000 annually.
Prior year expenditures are $46,329.84.
