EXPLANATION: On October 8, 2024 Council awarded a Professional Consulting Services contract (RFQ 202414) to multiple vendors. As part of the solicitation, Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. was selected as one of Wellington's engineering service providers. Staff is seeking authorization to utilize such contract with Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc. to provide consulting services for a proposed roundabout located at Lake Worth Road and 120th Avenue.
The purpose of this task order is to provide engineering consulting services for the roadway, drainage, landscaping, irrigation and lighting improvements associated with a proposed roundabout located at Lake Worth Road and 120th Avenue. The consulting service will include the development of a master plan consisting of conceptual configurations of the intersection, preparation of preliminary sketches and preparation of a conceptional Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (EOPCC), and concluding with a full set of construction drawings and designs of required improvements suitable for bidding and construction of the project.
The consultant will prepare and submit permit applications and/or determinations to South Florida Water Management District. They will also provide technical specifications for Wellington's use in bidding the project as well as provide bid phase support. The consultant will provide project management and quality control throughout the design phase of this project.
