ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW PALM BEACH SHERIFF’S OFFICE (PBSO) SUBSTATION

EXPLANATION: On April 12, 2022, the Village Council authorized staff to negotiate with Leo A. Daly Company to provide architectural and engineering services for the construction of a new PBSO Substation. While the overall scope of services necessary for these projects include planning, design, bidding, and construction administration services, the scope of this authorization includes Program Confirmation, Site Capacity Analysis and Conceptual Cost Estimate in the amount of $57,005. Scope and fee for subsequent task orders for design phase, bid phase, and construction phase services will be presented to Council for consideration and approval as we approach the specific phase of the project.
Staff recommends awarding a contract to Leo A. Daly Company, in the amount of $57,005, to provide architectural and engineering services for the construction of a new PBSO Substation.
