EXPLANATION:                     The Crowned Pearls of Wellington and the Wellington Rotary Club have volunteered at Wellington’s Feeding South Florida Weekly Distribution since it began on May 5, 2020.  The two groups provide 10-12 volunteers, who work tirelessly each Tuesday morning for 2-3 hours to load bags of meat, produce, and other food items into 900 vehicles, stacked in two double-sided lanes.  Thanks to the hard work and dedication of these volunteers, Wellington residents receive enough food to feed a family of four, for one week.  Now, more than 21 weeks into the distribution, volunteers from the Crowned Pearls of Wellington and the Rotary Club have handed out nearly 13,000 vouchers to those in need in the community.
