ITEM:                     AUTHORIZATION TO AWARD CONTRACTS TO MULTIPLE FIRMS FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING AND RELATED CONSULTING SERVICES

REQUEST:                     Authorization to award contracts to multiple firms for Civil Engineering and related consulting services.

…body

EXPLANATION:                     Pursuant to the Consultant’s Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), the Village released RFQ# 202414 on June 16, 2024 seeking qualifications from firms interested in providing civil engineering consulting services to the Village. On July 17, 2024 the Village received proposals from thirteen (13) firms.  A selection committee meeting was held on July 30, 2024 and six (6) firms were short listed. Presentations and interviews were held on August 14, 2024 and the committee recommended negotiations with the following five (5) firms:

                     WGI Inc.

                     Water Resources Management Associates, Inc.

                     Mock, Roos & Associates, Inc.

                     CTS Engineering, Inc.

                     Caulfield & Wheeler, Inc.

All professional consulting work will be performed on an as-needed basis and will be initiated by executing a work authorization, to a firm under contract for the related work discipline. Execution of these professional consulting agreements only establishes the terms, conditions and rate schedules.  Execution of contracts does not obligate the Village to assign work to any of the contracted firms. The initial term of the contracts is for three (3) years with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal options.
