ITEM: AUTHORIZATION TO AMEND A CONTRACT FOR ON-DEMAND RIDESHARE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
REQUEST: Authorization to amend a contract for on-demand rideshare transportation services to add one (1) additional service vehicle into the rideshare program at an additional annual cost of approximately $105,231.36.

EXPLANATION: On February 13, 2024, Council approved a contract (RFP #202340) with Beefree, LLC DBA Freebee for on-demand rideshare transportation services in the amount of approximately $210,462.72 annually. The initial term of the contract expires April 30, 2027.
The original contract required the vendor to provide two (2) service vehicles for the rideshare program. Since implementation, program usage has exceeded projections, resulting in increased demand and the need for additional service capacity.
To address this demand, staff recommends amending the contract to add one (1) additional vehicle, increasing the total fleet to three (3) vehicles. The additional service vehicle will result in an increased annual cost of approximately $105,231.36, bringing the revised total annual contract amount to approximately $315,694.08. The added capacity will allow the program to better meet resident needs and improve service reliability.
